Tradition has three Wisemen showing up on the night of the “birth” of Jesus. Scripture does not tell us for sure as to how many wisemen actually came or when they showed up, but Matthew 2:11 tells us that 3 gifts were brought to Joseph and Mary and these 3 gifts - gold, frankincense and myrrh- are painted on the 3 men in this set. The fact that this set of Wisemen showed up on our website 2 years after the Nativity set ….. a coincidence? You can decide.
